Sprint Planning Brief from Linear
For a squad that shows up to planning with a full backlog and no agreement on priorities. One prompt pulls the backlog, reads last week's funnel, and drops a one page brief in Notion with recommendations and the data behind each call.
Linear
PostHog
NotionThe grind
Planning debates priorities, not trade offs
Here's what doing this by hand looks like today, and why it doesn't scale.
- The backlog is full of P1s and the funnel has a hole, but nobody walks in with the connection between the two, so planning spends 45 minutes re litigating what should have been prep.
- Planning starts cold because nobody pre read the backlog.
- The funnel data lives in PostHog and the priorities live in Linear, and they never meet.
- The same should we do this or that debate comes up every other week.
MewCP collapses all of this into one prompt. Here's what that looks like.
The flow
5 steps · 3 servers
Your agent runs it end-to-end
Pull the issues sized for the next sprint, meaning triaged, scoped, and not started.
Query last week's funnel and the week over week deltas.
Map each issue to the funnel step it most directly affects.
Recommend P0, P1, or slip based on funnel impact, with the delta as the justification.
Write the brief to Notion with the recommendations, the data, and the open questions.
The payoff
Planning meets to decide, not discover
Tomorrow's planning opens with the brief already on screen. The team argues trade offs instead of priorities, and the meeting ends in 30 minutes instead of 90.
Paste this into Claude, Codex, or any MCP-connected agent. It'll connect your apps and run the task from start to finish.
